Natural Wonder

This Greta oto is a perfect example of natures pure sense of beauty and style.
A butterfly with transparent glass-like wings that are as delicate as finely blown glass, the presence of this rare tropical gem is used by rain forest ecologists as an indication of high habitat quality and its demise alerts them of ecological change. Rivaling the refined beauty of a stained glass window, the translucent wings of the Glasswing butterfly shimmer in the sunlight like polished panes of orange, green, and red.

The perfect mirror for every room

It has been rough trying to decide what mirror I would want to buy from Pottery Barn. They have some of the best selections in various price ranges. When I think I have it figured out, I see another and immediately go into the daydream of what room I would put it in and the design elements of that room. My favorites include the following; the Bianca, the Isadora's, the Eagan Multi-Panel, the Riazzi's, the Pub, Studio and of course these Eleanor Frame-less Mirrors (as shown.) See what I mean? So I guess in an ideal world, I wouldn't have to decide and I would be able to buy a different mirror for each room, that way I would feel satisfied that every room's story has been told through the eyes of me.

West Elm

I have wanted a headboard for a while, but I keep holding out until I am in my "next" apartment which I romanticize as my perfect place and I can finally put some time into the design and making it mine...anyway, I am figuring it all out. But if I did get a headboard I have had my eye on this one Octagon Cutout Head-board and Wood Frame from West Elm. This company has simple modern classically chic designs for furniture, especially small spaces. I love white and light fresh colors with the dark chocolate wood...so fresh and alive, yet very calming at the same time.

Bohemian Lucite

It is hard to choose just one of Jacaranda's lucite bangles...the designs transports me to another time. I particularly love the hand painted gold motif of this bohemian pasley cuff partnered with a purple haze.

Beklina

I adore Beklina's web boutique. I absolutely love the style choices made by this female trio. Influenced by Northern California's natural beauty, each hand-picked piece has a unique artsy way about it. I have had the pleasure of corresponding with Angelina in this family run company, she is so delightful and very helpful.
FYI, they offer free shipping on all orders in the Continental US! These girls have a new loyal customer in me and I wish Beklina much continued success!

Threadless

It's amazing how many times I get compliments when I wear one of my Threadless shirts and I love having the opportunity to tell someone about the best place to get awesome t-shirts. The best part is the entire site exists off the design submissions of creative people like you and me;-)

Slaughterhead

Thanks to SuperMaggie, I have happily been introduced to Slaughterhead. Another dynamic husband and wife team who are creating bold wallets, totes and shirts. This jumbo chocolate bullseye wallet is made from marine vinyl, and just like the rest of the items designed by Slaughterhead, each piece is handmade and one-of-a-kind.

Supermaggie to the Rescue!

Check out Supermaggie to see their superstyle! I LOve the graphics of their tee's for both men and women (you have an excuse to buy one for yourself, if you get one for your man too!) All shirts have a flattering cut and are hand-printed on lightweight 100% jersey cotton with water-based inks. I am a BIG fan of this husband and wife designing duo!

O Lotta

I have had Lotta Jansdotter's address book for 6 years and I still love it as much as the day I bought it. Her modern and natural textile designs are simply stated in a perfect way. I am especially digging the Pia Hand Bag and Klara Tote. Also, get inspired and buy a signed copy of Lotta's Simple Sewing Book and you too can create your own aprons, table linens, totes, and more!

Dwell

King duvet onsale while supplies last at Dwell. Not only does it have some of the chic'est modern textile bedding, it also has Dwellbaby and Dwelltable.
Color-combo of the season ~ deep plum and light yellow.

Sweet Jeremie

I never thought about dinnerware much to be honest. But once I became engaged I was swept away into the registry process. All of a sudden things like dinnerware started to matter, in the traditional sense. I tried to like all the various china collections I was seeing online, but it just wasn't happening. Then I discovered The Faux Bois Ceramics Collection from Jeremie Corp. These pieces inspire me to want to throw a garden party every time I see them.

All pieces in the collection are durable stoneware that appears to be
made of branches or trimmed with twigs. Included in the dishwasher
and microwave safe collection are platters, dinner-salad-dessert plates, bowls
, mugs, pitchers and candlesticks. The perfect table setting for any gathering! The Jeremie bird and nest Faux Bois Collection is a hard find, as they only sell their product wholesale, you can go to their website and ask them to help you find a vendor near you.

Feminine Edge

Cottage Living

I can't get enough of dark plum and light yellow combos. It is modern and sharp but to achieve this it has to be the right shades otherwise it can look too Easter.

Anthro's New Site!

Just in time for summer...

Anthropologie announced today the launch of a re-vamped site! I love the delicate, feminine and dreamy water-color look and feel. I especially love how they have broken up the site into {For Yourself} and {For Your Home}, and within that, the addition of the "Points of View" section, thus now only making me even more emotionally connected to this brand and lifestyle.

I even learned a new tid-bit from their Editorial summer swimwear collection's "Dive in...Freestyle"...Bikini inventor Louis Reard named his bubbly design after the atomic testing site Bikini Atoll, feeling its effect would be similarily explosive! Who knew? Thanks Anthro.

Stewart+Brown

Stewart+Brown is one of my favorite site's right now. I instantly felt like I would hang out with these guys if we were neighbors. I love the style of Karen and Howard's clothing, design, way of life, and their contributions to sustainability.

Their pieces are timeless and soft and perfect for any chic green goddess. I am a fan of how they are able to achieve making green clothing super sexy. Thank you. Definitely going to keep my eye on these organic pioneers.
