River Stone Mat

One of my favorite things are rocks and one of may favorite things to do is spend hours walking on the beach combing for rocks - I can spend all day and be happy as a clam. I think this is brilliant! This River Stone Mat from Viva Terra is genius. They have found assorted smooth river rocks and secured them to a mat (can we say fun weekend project??) to create the best bathroom mat ever!! My feet will be so happy!

Zac Posen's Ma Vendeuse

Watching Zac Posen's video for his 2007 resort collection I zone out and am immediately transported to a daydream of me wearing these beautiful, romantic gowns and under-garments, trying on shoes and jewelry and running around in a huge old Victorian mansion with not a care in the world. Imagining tea time, frolicking in the meadow, lounging on a chaise in the morning sun, playing dress up, dancing by the fireplace...and then I come back to reality and I am thankful I saw Posen's Ma Vendeuse on style.com and it made me smile and feel like I was a lady of leisure for just a moment. Thank you Zac and Lola for making a fashion come to life in an creative, playful and reminiscent way.

Brocade Home

I was visiting a friend in NYC last week and noticed the Brocade Home Catalog on her coffee table. I went right for it and said "how have I never seen this catalog before?" As soon as I got back to Santa Barbara, I signed up to receive it myself! Friends are great inspiration in so many ways!
I love this laser cut felt rug in java. I think it would work well over a white or light painted floor, allowing the underneath color to show through; or lay it on a wood floor to have the woodgrain texture and contrast browns to peak through as well! This delicate design has a very modern, classic feel and is easily paired with one of the many other amazing home wears Brocade has to offer.

Puella

When I came across this grab bag tote bag from Puella, I felt instantly propelled to buy it. $800.00 worth of cami's, tee's, dresses and tanks all for $150.00, but you don't get to pick the styles, so it's a little risky. How could I resist 10 assorted custom pieces of clothing all in my size? It felt like Christmas! $800.00 worth of cami's, tee's, dresses and tanks all for $150.00.

I love Amy Butler's bold bright and modern designs, especially now we're in summer! Each product brings happiness and life to any outfit or room. Check out her site for an array of patterns for self and home! She even has her own sewing and pattern book, "In Stitches" of 25 creative projects, so we can make our own great stylish stuff too! Thanks Amy!

Graey

How beautiful are the feminine and strong pieces by Graey. A smart twist on a great tee with the cut-out lace work. I want one in each color and it's a perfect top to go from day to night. Plus, I love that these girls post their own cartoon sketches...I have to watch them every time, and I like how they incorporate their clothing in girl meets boy scenarios and such. Very nice!

Room Wrappings

Every time I think of my favorite wallpapered rooms, my grandmother's house comes to mind. I only call her by her nickname, Dapper and she is a creative and kick-ass lady who inspires me. Each room in her home has the most gorgeous one-of-a-kind papers, which completely set the tone for each room. I was searching around on the web and I came across Cole and Son which offers stunning papers and paints for any style. I thought the hand-painted paper of the Woods Collection would be fantastic lining the walls of a dining room accented with dark woods, glass and mirror pieces.

Andrea Corson Designs

I love the earthy yet sophisticated designs of Andrea Corson. This Caviars All the Way Ring calls to me because of the feelings it invokes for me. I instantly am transported to walking on the beach and smellign the ocean and hearing the waves and feeling my feet sink into the wet sand as I look intently for rocks. Yes, I am a complete rock-hound, I can be happily occupied all day searching for treasures on the beach and lost in my own thoughts.
